Three farmers hurt in lathicharge

MAHABUBNAGAR: Three farmers, including a woman were hurt when the police resorted to a mild lathicharge to disperse farmers who thronged the office of the primary agriculture at Madugula mandal headquarters on Saturday.

According to information reaching the district headquarters, some 1,000 farmers lined up to collect tokens at PACS for fertilizers since morning. When the farmers came to know that only 1,200 bags of fertilizer were available they tried to barge into the office following which police resorted to lathicharge.
