Donation for Bihar flood victims
NEW DELHI: Indo-Tibetan Border Police Director General Vikram Srivastava handed over a cheque for Rs.1,31,24,157 to Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil on behalf of the ITBP personnel towards Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund.
In view of the massive destruction and devastation cause by the floods in Bihar, the officers and men of the ITBP have contributed a day’s salary. The ITBP teams were the first to reach the flood affected districts in Bihar and a total of 100 men with 20 boats have been working round the clock and have saved several precious lives, said a release issued by ITBP.
