Bomb hoax at theatre

Kochi: Screening of film at Sridhar Theatre in Kochi was interrupted following an anonymous phone call that a bomb was planted there. The call that came to the Control Room at around 12.45 p.m. was traced to a public call phone at Penta Menka shopping complex.

Members of the audience were evacuated from the cinema and the bomb squad checked the hall for 30 minutes.

The show scheduled for 1.45 p.m. had to be cancelled because of the interruption.
