GURGAON: Gaganjeet Bhullar blew away an overnight five-stroke lead to clear the way for a consistent Rahul Ganapathy to claim the Rs. 80-lakh AIS Open golf title at the Golden Greens golf course here on Saturday. Ganapathy fired a four-under 68 on the final day for a tally a winning tally of 16-under 272. In sharp contrast, Bhullar’s game went to pieces as he could only return a 79 and settled for the third place behind Ashok Kumar. Ganapathy’s third title on the PGTI Tour earned him Rs.4,48,950 and placed him on top of the Order of Merit with season’s winnings of Rs. 22,02,050 from 12 events.
