Where children weave their own stories

Staff Reporter

CHENNAI: Two designers of children’s products, Kanaka Ananth and Bindhu Madhu, and a few children have made a small beginning. But they know their journey towards the maze of creativity where the treasure of innovation lies is long and rewarding.

Magic Hat, the play lounge for children at Sathyam cinemas in association with the two designers is conducting ‘My Story,’ a two-day workshop developed for kids from Saturday.

“Kids live in a world where creative instincts rule supreme. Children are known to live in a world of stories created by them. This is an opportunity to listen what they have to say and see how they visualise the world,” says Ms.Kanaka Ananth.

“The story-making workshop seeks to foster a socio-centric environment that enhances more learning and creativity. It gives a platform for children to shape their experiences and get their imaginations consolidated,” she adds.

“This is a workshop developed for playful learning in a collaborative story telling community for kids,” says Helen Dominic, Director of Magic Hat.

“The author, narrator and creator in the kid are shaped to life with the opportunity for the kid to present their creation as a book,” she adds.
