Angiography suite inaugurated

Manipal: The digital angiography suite, equipped with the latest digital flat panel, Philips Allura FD 20 Xper CT Angiography and XPER system, was inaugurated at the Kasturba Hospital here on Saturday.

Head of Interventional and Vascular Radiology, Sree Ramachandra Medical College, Chennai, Santhosh Joseph, inaugurated the equipment. It is used mainly to investigate blood flow disorders in brain, face, abdomen and arm and legs. The hospital in a press release said that it was the first equipment of its kind in Karnataka. National Research Professor at Manipal Life Science Centre M.S. Valiathan, Head of the Department of Surgery at Kasturba Hospital B.H. Anand Rao, and Head of the Department of Interventional Radiology V.R.K. Rao were present.
