Triple pole for Vishwanath
CHENNAI: Former National champion, T.K. Vishwanath, attained triple pole in the qualifying sessions for Round 3 of the UCAL Rolon National racing championship at the Madras Motor Race Track, near here on Saturday.
Vishwanath took pole in the Group ‘D’ four-stroke 165cc, Group ‘B’ four-stroke 165cc, and Group ‘B’ four-stroke 260cc categories.
In the super bikes class, Praveen Keerthi and Vikram took the honours in the 600cc and 1,000cc category respectively.
Other riders who took the pole positions were V. Sameer (four-stroke 130-165cc), P. Deva Kumar (two-stroke 130-165cc), Alok Shashidhar (four-stroke 130cc), and S. Vivek Pillai (two-stroke 130-165cc).
K. Umesh Babu took the pole in the mopeds class.
The main races will be held on Sunday. — Sports Reporter
