Ex-ACP seeks action against son-in-law

Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: A retired Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), B.K. Muniyappa, has requested the State Government to take stringent action against his son-in-law Nanjunde Gowda, who is serving as police inspector in Gulbarga.

Speaking to presspersons here on Saturday, he alleged that his daughter Shashikala died because of physical and mental torture meted out by Mr. Nanjunde Gowda and family.

“Mr. Nanjunde Gowda married my daughter Shashikala in 1995. Later, he began an affair with a woman, and unable to bear this, my daughter died on December 14, 2007,” he said.

Following my complaint, an inquiry was held and Mr. Nanjunde Gowda was transferred to Gulbarga,” he said and sought action against Mr. Gowda.
