Village revenue officers threaten agitation

VIZIANAGARAM: The A.P. Village Revenue Officers’ Association has threatened to go on strike if the government failed to issue GO within 30 days on their charter of demands which it presented to Revenue Minister Dharmana Prasada Rao on September 1.

The demands include pensions for those worked as village officers and village administrative officers in the past, transfers through counselling, promotions and filling up of vacant posts. At a meeting of the association here on Sunday, association leader K. Srinivasa Rao said the orders issued 30 days ago on handing over revenue records to them was not implemented.
