IAF officer, servant held for murder

NEW DELHI: An Indian Air Force non-commissioned officer and his servant have been arrested in connection with the murder of the former’s wife at Lado Sarai here earlier this month.

According to the police, P.K. Khuntia suspected his wife Rekha of having an extra-marital affair and allegedly hatched a plan to eliminate her along with his domestic help Aman. As per the plan, Aman allegedly stabbed Rekha to death in her sleep on September 11 morning and left for the market. On his return, Aman raised a false alarm and reported the matter to the police.
