Glamour touch: Film actor Rajasekhar, his wife Jeevita and Vuyyuru MLA K P Saradhi at a roadshow at Chalivendrapalem of Vuyyuru Assembly constituency on Sunday. VUYYURU (Krishna dist.): Film-actor turned politician Rajasekhar on Sunday made a scathing attack on the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and newly launched Praja Rajyam. Indirectly referring to both parties and its leaders, he alleged that they were ‘power mongers and destined to plunder the country’. “When great actor and leader N.T. Rama Rao was in trouble, none of them cared. The people, who backstabbed Mr. Rama Rao, are now trying to take mileage out of his name, don’t trust them,” he said, adding, “You should understand that I alone was with Mr. Rama Rao during his difficult period. Only I am eligible to utter NTR’s name.” Continuing further he, indirectly, made light of Chiranjeevi and his political party. “Don’t believe those people, who claim that they will serve you. They are playing dramas saying that they have seen everything – money and luxury – in their life. But, they are ultimate objective is to become Chief Minister. They will plunder the country.” Referring to the nuclear deal, he narrated his experiences of China. “Every place in China has electricity. We too can have 24-hour power supply following nuclear deal with the US,” he said. RoadshowEarlier, Mr. Rajasekhar and his wife Jeevitha participated in a roadshow from Proddutur village near Kankipadu. The road show culminated into a public meeting here. The meeting was organised to felicitate Veeranki Chintaiah Goud, who has been nominated as chairman of the Vuyyuru Cane Development Corporation. Machilipatnam MP Badiga Ramakrishna, Vuyuuru MLA K.P. Sarathi, Machilipatnam MLA Perni Nani, PCC secretary Kolanukonda Shivaji and others spoke.
