Train services disrupted

VIZIANAGARAM: Normal train services on Howrah-Chennai and Vizianagaram-Raipur tracks were disrupted from 9.40 am to 12.10 pm when cables got damaged, due to short circuit on account of seepage of rain water, at RRI (route relay interlocking) cabin at the railway station on Monday, according to P.C. Sethy, Station Manager.

Services were restored after the damage was rectified. As a result, Vijayawada-Rayagada passenger, Durg-Visakhapatnam passenger, Bhubaneswar-Bangalore Prashanti Express and Haldia-Yeshwantpur Express trains arrived at the station behind schedule.
