Belgaum: The police claimed to have detected a “supari” contract in Savadatti Police Station limits by arresting three persons on Sunday. According to a release by Superintendent of Police Sonia Narang here, the Savadatti police arrested Paramesh of Vakkund, Manjunath of Kerkop village and Basavaraj Somappa of Kamatur. All the three confessed of their involvement in the murder of Mahadev Bhairappa Honagekar of Shingarkop village. The accused had been paid Rs. 20,000 allegedly by Mallikarjun Honagekar, the brother of Mahadev, to settle a property dispute in the family.
