Corrections and clarifications

>>The sixth paragraph in a report “Vital clues gathered, say Delhi police” (September 15, 2008, page 1) was “Shortly after the blast on Sunday, Rahul [a young balloon vendor] told the police that he had seen the suspects leaving in an autorickshaw.” The blasts in Delhi were on Saturday (September 14, 2008).

>>The ninth paragraph in a report “PM appeals for calm” (September 14, 2008) was “Information and Broadcasting Sherry Rehman on Saturday condemned the blasts as a ‘barbaric act of cowardice.’” It should have been [Pakistan] Information and Broadcasting Minister Sherry Rehman.

>>A report “Pistorius powers to his second gold” (“Sport”, September 14, 2008) did not mention which event it was. Oscar Pistorius, who is aiming for a sprint treble, won the 200m in 21.67 seconds. Earlier, he had won the 100m. The event was inadvertently left out of the report.
