BU given ‘A’ grade

Staff Reporter

Bangalore: The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has accorded ‘A’ grade to Bangalore University.

H.T. Rathod, in-charge Vice-Chancellor, said that the university’s good work had received recognition. Previously, the university had a five-star ranking, which was the highest grade accorded by NAAC under its earlier ranking system.

“We have maintained our position. We can now say that Bangalore University is one of the top universities in the State.”

K. Eresi, Chairman of Department of Foreign Languages, said that the “A” grade was a sign of the university’s achievement in many fields.

He said that the faculty had published many papers in international journals and students had won gold medals for their performance.
