Special Cabinet meet to discuss terror
New Delhi: The Union Cabinet is to hold a special session on Wednesday to discuss the spate of terror attacks in the country.
The meeting has “no agenda,” informed sources said, implying that it was not a routine meeting but one to discuss something urgent.
Usually Cabinet meetings are held on Thursdays with prior notice on the subjects to be taken up.
Lalu’s demand
The meeting has been convened by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh after Railway Minister Lalu Prasad made an open demand for such a meeting to discuss threadbare issues arising out of the Delhi blasts.
Mr. Prasad had also demanded an all-party meeting to discuss the situation and expressed concern over the functioning of the intelligence agencies. — PTI
