RAISING THEIR VOICE: Teachers from Central Universities shouting slogans against the Pay Review Committee in New Delhi on Wednesday for “delaying” the submission of its report.
NEW DELHI: A number of teachers from different Central Universities took part in a march from Ferozeshah Kotla grounds to University Grants Commission headquarters here on Wednesday protesting against delay in submission of the report by the Pay Review Committee for university teachers headed by G.K. Chadha.
The call for the march was given by the Federation of Central Universities Teachers’ Associations.
After the march, a delegation of the Federation met the UGC vice-chairperson and submitted a memorandum expressing its resentment over the delay in the submission of the report.
“We expressed our unhappiness over the fact that UGC has sought time from the teachers to ensure submission of the report by October 7,” said Federation president Aditya Narayan Misra.
