Cash incentive for Saina Nehawal

HYDERABAD: Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy announced a cash incentive of Rs. 20 lakh to national badminton champion Saina Nehawal, who won the Chinese Taipei Grand Prix title recently, here on Wednesday.

Dr. Reddy congratulated the ace woman shuttler from the city for her “sterling performance and becoming the only Indian woman badminton player to win two Grand Prix titles.” Saina was given Rs. 5 lakh recently for her Beijing Olympics appearance. “I hope that the Hyderabad girl will achieve many more laurels at the highest level,” the Chief Minister said.
