Fish farmers tour Andhra Pradesh

To keep abreast of latest technology

PUDUCHERRY: A team of 15 fish farmers from Puducherry are on a visit to a few districts in Andhra Pradesh as part of a training programme to keep abreast of the latest technology in fish culture practices.

According to a release, the Fish Farmers Development Agency of Puducherry has been organising annual educational tour for fish farmers to the neighbouring States where fish culture practice was undertaken in an intensive and successful manner.

This year, a team of fish farmers under the supervision of Fisheries Extension Officer of the agency P. Govindassamy left for Kaikalur, Bhimavaram and Ongole districts of Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday.

Director of Fisheries G. Ramalakshmi, Deputy Director of Fisheries S. Danassegarane and officials took part in the send-off function.
