‘Wipe out terrorism’

Staff Correspondent

DAVANGERE: Saheed Ahmed, General Secretary of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee, and Ivan Nigli, former MLA, said on Thursday that they held a meeting with some Muslim leaders in Bangalore a few days ago and decided to appeal to the Muslims to actively involve in wiping out terrorism from the country.

They told presspersons here that the meeting decided to ask the Muslims to inform the Police Department if any “outsider” took shelter in their localities. The leaders were unhappy that the community was being blamed for the crimes committed by terrorists.

The leaders would tour all districts after Ramzan and urge the community members to involve themselves in curbing terrorist activities, they said.
