Staff Reporter

SANGAREDDY: The police on Wednesday rescued a man who was stranded at Edupayala Kanakadurga temple for five days without food.

P. Pochagoud, a native of Kothapalli village in Papannapet mandal, went to the temple on September 14 after having a fight with family members.

As the water released from Singur marooned the surrounding areas of the temple, he could not come out. He did not come out when police rescued ten persons using a helicopter the next day.

Two employees of the temple saw him coming out and informed the police. They immediately deployed swimmers and rescued him.
