Corrections and clarifications

>>In the Editorial “Staving off a meltdown” (September 18, 2008), the expansion of AIG was incorrectly given as American Insurance Group. It should have been American International Group.

>>In an article “Will WiMax score over 3G mobile service?” (Science & Technology” page, September 18, 2008), the expansion of WiMax was given as World wide Operability of Microwave Access. We repeat the correction we published on October 17, 2006: “The expansion of WIMAX is Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access, a technology to allow devices to form wireless connections to permit the carrying of internet packet data.”
