Ram Shriram retains slot in Forbes

NEW YORK: Four Persons of Indian Origins (PIOs) — acoustics pioneer Amar Bose, venture capitalist Vinod Khosla and technology entrepreneurs Kavitark Ram Shriram and Bharat Desai — have retained their presence in the club of 400 richest Americans, compiled by U.S. business magazine Forbes, but all of them saw an erosion in their wealth. All the four Persons of Indian Origins in the latest list — acoustics pioneer Amar Bose, venture capitalist Vinod Khosla and technology entrepreneurs Kavitark Ram Shriram and Bharat Desai — have taken a dip in their rankings on the list of 400 wealthiest persons in the U.S., topped by software czar Bill Gates. — PTI
