High score for police

It’s a big relief for citizens and police with 11-day Ganesh festival passing-off peacefully in twin cities, especially after the serial blasts rocked New Delhi killing at least 20 persons on Saturday last.

The blasts occurred just a day before the colourful immersion of Ganesh idols in Hussainsagar.

City police personnel were virtually on tenterhooks after terrorists’ triggered blasts at crowded places in the national capital.

Leaving no stone unturned for smooth conduct of the festival and subsequent immersion procession, officials made unprecedented security arrangements that led to celebrations passing off without any untoward incident.

It was indeed a splendid work with perfect strategy!
