Railways to run puja special trains

To clear extra rush of passengers during Dussera and Diwali featival

Bhubaneswar: In order to clear extra rush of travelling passengers for Dasara and Deepavali festivals, the Railways has decided to run weekly super fast special trains to Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) Mumbai, Howrah, Secunderabad and Chennai from and through East Coast Railway jurisdiction.

Train no: 0880 Bhubaneswar-LTT weekly Super Fast Special train will leave Bhubaneswar at 7.20 a.m. on every Monday between September 22 and November 3 and will reach LTT at 1.35 p.m. on the next day. In the return direction, 0879 LTT-Bhubaneswar weekly Super Fast Special train will leave LTT at 12.15 a.m. on every Wednesday (Midnight of Tuesday) between Sept. 24 and Nov. 5 and will reach Bhubaneswar at 7.10 a.m. on the following day.

The weekly Super Fast Special Train will have stoppages at Cuttack, Talcher Road, Angul, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Champa, Bilaspur, Raipur, Nagpur, Akola, Bhusabal, Manmad, Nasik Road and Kalyan between Bhubaneswar and LTT.

The train will run with a composition of eight Sleeper Class Coaches, one AC-2 tier, one AC-3 tier, three General Second class, two General Second class – cum – Luggage Van and one Pantry Car.

Train No. 0896 Puri-Howrah weekly Durga Puja Super Fast Special train will leave Puri at 10 p.m. on every Sunday between September 28 and November 26 and will reach Howrah at 7.05 a.m. on the next day. In the return direction, 0895 Howrah-Puri weekly Durga Puja Super Fast Special train will leave Howrah at 8.55 p.m. every Monday between September 29 and November 27 and reach Puri at 5.50 a.m. on the next day.

The second pair 0808 Puri-Howrah weekly Durga Puja Super Fast Special train will leave Puri at 10 p.m. on Wednesdays between October 1 and 15 and will reach Howrah at 7.05 a.m. on the next day. In the return direction, 0807 Howrah-Puri weekly Durga Puja Super Fast Special train will leave Howrah at 8.55 p.m. every Tuesday between Sept. 30 and Oct. 14 and reach Puri at 5.50 a.m. on the following day.

The third pair 0810 Puri-Howrah weekly Durga Puja Super Fast Special train will leave Puri at 10 p.m. every Thursday between Oct. 2 and 16 and reach Howrah at 7.05 a.m. on the next day. In the return direction, 0809 Howrah-Puri weekly Durga Puja Super Fast Special train will leave Howrah at 8.55 p.m.every Wednesday between Oct.1 and 15 and reach Puri at 5.50 a.m. on the following day.

Train No. 0839 / 0840 Howrah - Chennai - Howrah weekly special train will leave Howrah on Oct.4 and 11 at 4.10 p.m.(Saturday) and will arrive in Chennai at 09.45 p.m. on Sunday.

In the return direction, this train will leave Chennai on Oct. 6 and 13 at 10.30 p.m. (Monday) and will reach Howrah at 3.20 a.m. on Wednesday.

The stoppages for this train will be at Kharagpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur Keonjhar Road, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road, Brahmapur, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Rajahmundry, Eluru, Vijayawada, Ongle, Nellore, Gudur between Howrah and Chennai.

Train No. 0835/0836 Hatia-Secunderabad-Hatia weekly special train via Jharsuguda-Sambalpur Rayagada and Vizianagaram will leave Hatia on October 16, 23 and 30 at 6.20 a.m. (Thursdays) and will arrive in Secunderabad at 10.30 p.m. (Fridays).

In the return direction, this train will leave Secunderabad on Oct. 18 and 25 and Nov. 1 at 3.35 p.m. (Saturdays) and will reach Hatia at 7.15 p.m. on Sundays.
