Group-II examinations commence today

Over 37,000 candidates to appear in 95 centres

Kakinada: The stage is set for conducting Group-II examinations of the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) at 95 centres in the district on September 20 and 21.

Some 37,321 candidates have registered for the examinations. Duplicate hall-tickets can be downloaded from the APPSC website ( www.apspsc.gov.in).

Eighty examination centres were set up in Kakinada and Rajahmundry (40 each), Amalapuram - 8, Tuni - 5 and Peddapuram - 2. Ten additional coordinators, 19 liaison officers and 95 assistant liaison officers have been appointed to monitor the examinations, according to Collector Gopalakrishna Dwivedi.

Undertaking

Besides, an APPSC officer will be posted at each sub-centre and arrangements at the examination centres, including the seating pattern, have been made in accordance with the guidelines laid down by the APPSC.

Those involved in conducting the examinations have been asked to give undertakings that none of his / her relatives are writing the examinations in the centre allotted to them.

Similarly, allotment of rooms to the invigilators and other supervisory staff is being done through draw of lots a short while before the examinations commence.

Superintendent of Police Y. Nagi Reddy and Additional SP A.V. Ranganath are personally supervising the security measures at the examination centres so that no untoward incident takes place.

District Revenue Officer M. Mohan Raj and other district officials concerned have been put on the job to conduct the examinations peacefully and devoid of irregularities.
