‘Skilled MBAs are always in demand’
Staff Reporter
VISAKHAPATNAM: President of the Forum of Free Enterprise, Mumbai, Minoo R. Shroff has said that notwithstanding the global financial crisis there were umpteen opportunities for talented management graduates because of the shortage of skilled manpower.
Delivering a lecture on the global financial crisis to students of the Department of Commerce and Management Studies of Andhra University on Friday, he traced the genesis of the present turmoil in the global market. He attributed the consumer-oriented US society, rising prices and decline in real estate values in the US and its spread to Britain and also some of the European countries as the major cause for the stock market crash. Mr. Shroff said that Indian economy has also suffered a serious setback following the crash.
While projects in the pipeline wouldn’t be affected, small and medium enterprises and vendors would feel the pinch.
