BJP dares Centre to impose President’s rule in Karnataka
New Delhi: In the wake of the Union government’s fresh advisory to Karnataka on violence against Christians, the BJP dared the Centre to impose President’s rule in the State.
“We dare the Centre to go a step ahead and implement Article 356. They will have to bear the consequences and the people of the country would give them a fitting reply,” BJP spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad told reporters here.
Mr. Prasad alleged that violence in the Congress-ruled States was ignored.
“In Assam [ruled by the Congress], a large number of innocent Hindi-speaking and other bona fide residents were killed by elements encouraged by the ULFA and other extremist organisations for the last few years wherein the State government failed to give any security,” he said. — PTI
