Staff Reporter

Kakinada: Director-General of Police S.S.P. Yadav held a review meeting on Saturday with Superintendent of Police Y. Nagi Reddy, Additional SP A.V Ranganath, DSPs and Circle Inspectors at the District Police Office here.

Mr. Yadav called upon the police to create confidence in public that they would get justice in the police stations by rendering services promptly and in a non-prejudicial manner.

Mr. Yadav also exhorted the personnel to put up a concerted fight against Maoists while exercising utmost caution in their movements in vulnerable areas. The police should be prepared for the ensuing general elections, which could be their toughest challenge, he added.

Additional Directors-General of Police Aravinda Rao (Intelligence), Siva Narayana (CID), Eluru Range DIG Ravi Gupta and OSD P.H.D. Ramakrishna were among those present.
