VISAKHAPATNAM: The weekend parties at The Park are usually packed with fun and energy. But what made Friday night’s event a special one was the presence of the sensuous Sherlyn Chopra.

Party-goers thronged the hotel to watch the model-turned actor perform who was here in the city to promote her new album ‘Dard-e-Sherlyn.

But the restless crowd had to wait for quite sometime before the dusky beauty made an appearance to a packed audience and set the dance floor on fire with her ‘jhatkas’ and ‘matkas’.

The firebrand gave a brief performance on the remix version of the “Dard-e-Sherlyn” title track by DJs Akbar Sami and Pramz with aplomb. But the highlight of her appearance remained her controversial trademark diamond-studded bikini top. For the sake of safety, a group of bouncers surrounded her during the performance. As the evening progressed, the dance floor shifted to the swimming pool as the diva, armed with security guards, wooed the audience with her sensuous dance moves in the pool. The euphoria reached its peak when the ‘outrageous’ singer and actor threw up challenges to the crowd and rewarded them with the CDs of her latest album. The second album ‘Dard-e-Sherlyn’ is her tribute to the original dreamgirl Hema Malini.
