Ex-engineer convicted in ACB case

HYDERABAD: A. Raja Reddy, a former divisional engineer, Transmission line construction (APSEB), Khammam, has been convicted by the Additional Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases, Hyderabad, and sentenced to one year’s rigorous imprisonment and fined Rs.5,000. In default, he is to suffer two months simple imprisonment for the offence under Section 13 (2), read with Section 13 (1) of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
The judge also ordered confiscation of his disproportionate assets, a press release issued by ACB said here on Saturday.
During the course of investigation conducted by ACB , Reddy was found in possession of assets disproportionate to the known sources of his income.
