Co-optex aims for higher sales

NAMAKKAL: The special sale of silk and cotton varieties for Deepavali and Ramzan festivals bagan at Co-optex showrooms in Namakkal district recently.

Inaugurating the sale at the Namakkal town showroom, Collector U. Sagayam said that Co-optex has a sales target of Rs. 55 lakh for the current fiscal in the district. People could get a discount of 30 per cent on the silk and cotton varieties during the special sale period.

Officials said that the district had already surpassed the target fixed for the period April - August. The Namakkal town showroom had stocked silk cloths including saris worth Rs. 5 lakh and cotton varieties worth Rs. 15 lakh for the current season. Apart from Namakkal town, Co-optex has showrooms at Rasipuram and Tiruchengode.
