Detained for robbery

Coimbatore: The District Collector, V. Palanikumar, based on the recommendations of the police ordered the detention of Gopi alias Gopinath (28) of Vadavalli. On July 2, he reportedly waylaid and robbed Aruchamy. Inquiries revealed that Gopinath was already involved in nine cases of waylaying, robbery and theft.
