Online filing of returns

COIMBATORE: The Commercial Tax Department has urged traders to submit their monthly returns through the e-filing channel.
Details of the process can be accessed from the website: www.tnvat.gov.in
A release said 20,000 major traders were using this method as it was mandatory for them. Now, 5,000 more were adopting it. Traders who need to be trained in e-filing could approach the Commercial Taxes office in Chennai (Greams Road), the Central Computer Centre or the District Taxation Offices.
The last date for filing the returns would be the 20th of every month. Details could be accessed at toll free numbers: 1800 4250 960 (VAT) and 1800 2200 17 (CST).
