Sree Narayana ‘mahasamadhi’ observed

Thiruvananthapuram: Religious rituals, commemoration meetings and fasting marked the 81st anniversary of the ‘mahasamadhi’ of Sree Narayana Guru all over the district on Sunday.

At the Sivagiri Math, Varkala, the day started with special pooja, ‘havanam’ and recitation of gurudeva krithis. This was followed by a commemoration meeting and a fast. Mahasamadhi was observed at the Sree Narayana Gurukulam, Chempazhanthi. The Sree Narayana Academy, Sree Narayana Samadhi Smaraka Granthasala and various units of the SNDP Yogam also observed ‘mahasamadhi.’
