KOLLAM: The Nationalist Youth Congress (NYC) has demanded that the prices of petroleum products be reduced immediately. In a statement here on Sunday, NYC leaders Nedumancavu Gopalakrishnan and S. Pradeep Kumar said they were raising the demand in the wake of crude oil prices falling by 40 per cent. They said that they would submit memoranda in this connection to Union Petroleum Minister Murli Deora and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh next week. — Staff Reporter
