Discount: Collector R. Palaniyandi inaugurating sale in Tuticorin. TUTICORIN: Collector R. Palaniyandi inaugurated the ‘Deepavali discount sale – 2008’ of Co-optex silk saris and other products here on Saturday. Director of AVM Hospitals, M.V. Lakshmanan received the first sale from the Collector. “Nine new pattern silk saris introduced by the Co-optex for this season will greatly attract women as 30 per cent discount is being offered for all products,” said Dr. Palaniyandi. Tirunelveli Regional Manager of Co-optex P. Dhanapal said the region had been set a sales target of Rs. 6.75 crore this year and Tuticorin district, having four showrooms, had to sell products worth Rs. 1.38 crore.
