Think twice about separate Telangana

Is it necessary to have a separate Telangana state? If it were so, make Hyderabad a central territory to avert untoward incidents. But please recall those days of 1947-48, Muslim League, Khasim Rizvi, Layak Ali, Linguistic States, Reorganisation of States, hegemony of the landlords and the like. Think twice before you leap. After all Indian politics is communal to make and unmake the history.

Karimnagar civic body is negligent

It is the irresponsibility of Karimnagar Municipal Corporation for not refunding the ‘Inkudu guntha’ deposits. The municipality is punishing severely the sincere citizens, who followed rules and regulations. There is a rule to construct the ‘Inkudu guntha’ for rain harvesting but very few are following the rule. Municipal authorities must check this work, collect deposits, refund after constructions.

But the citizens who followed the rule, constructed the ‘guntha’ submitted photographs for evidence are yet to get the deposits amounts though years have passed. Immediate action is required.

Diabetic children

This refers to the news item ‘Children with diabetes lack support at school’ The Hindu dated September 14. This report is very valuable. In this report it is stated that every school should provide to a diabetic child insulin shots. This is a silent killer disease and it is heart rending to see children suffer from diabetes as they are denied sweets and chocolates. The schools should provide necessary help to children with diabetes.

Why is JVV silent?

The Jana Vignana Vedika holds press conferences organises seminars, lectures to denounce the fish cure for asthama given by Bathini brother as unscientific, irrational and superstitious. Then why is it that they are silent when some organisations are organising ‘Arogya Mata Utsavam’ at a stretch for ten days, wherein in a cinematic fashion the sick is cured. Their silence only indicates that Vedika is not really a scientific society.

Nothing wrong in name

This has reference to the letter slugged ‘Inappropriate name’. I disagree with the view of the writer. Christening a party’s name as ‘Praja Rajyam’ is not a confusing factor in terms of people’s rule.

A citizen’s right is vested to elect his choice of leader of choice party from the grassroots level as per the People’s Representation Act. Whatever the party’s name or fame, in this context, I feel that ‘praja’ means people and ‘rajya,’ may be understood as ‘rule, but not as ‘peoples government party’ as described by Mr. Rao.
