BJP’s Telangana Sankalpa Yatra from today

Leaders say formation of Telangana state possible only by National parties


MAHABUNAGAR: Former National president of Bharatiya Janata party (BJP) Bangaru Laxman will launch his Telangana Sankalpa Yatra from Beechpally Hanuman temple in Alampoor constituency on Monday.

The yatra will end on October 2 at Warangal en route Rangareddy, Nalgonda, Khammam.

Disclosing this at a press conference her on Sunday, BJP district president K.Yadagiri Reddy said that Telangana Sankalpa yatra that starts at Beechpally will conclude in the district on Wednesday covering as many as 282 km distance

BJP leaders K. Ramulu, Krishanvardhan Reddy, Ramakrishan, Satyam, Subba Rao and others were also present.

On Monday yatra would cover Pebbair, Kanchiravupally,Wanaparthy, Kothakota, Atmakoor and Amarchinta. On Tuesday, the yatra will cover Makthal, Utkoor, Narayanpet, Dhanwada, Marikal, Devarkadra and Mahabubnagar and on Wednesday the yatra will pass en route Jadcherla, Balanagar, Shadnagar and Kondurg. Then it enters Rangareddy district.

Yadagiri Reddy said during the yatra, the BJP leaders will make it clear to people that the formation of Telangana state would be possible only by National parties particularly by BJP alone.

The BJP which formed three new states during the year 2000, will create Telangana state as soon as it comes to power again in 2009.

Yadagiri Reddy said they would appeal the people during yatra to vote for BJP in ensuing elections to State Assembly and Parliament to realize the dream of Telangana state.

The yatra will also expose the minority appeasement policies of UPA government by which the country was facing threat of another partition and also would highlight the need to reintroduction of POTA.
