Man held on charge of raping minor

An 11-year-old girl was raped allegedly by a 40-year-old man at Jodugullapalem on Sunday morning.

The girl was allegedly taken to a government building and raped in a room under construction there by Suribabu, a labourer, according to P.M. Palem Circle Inspector Vivekananda.

The girl suffers from a deformity and cannot walk on her own. Suribabu himself brought her back home.

A case was booked and the man arrested, the inspector said.
