‘Ryots and other sections of society are facing difficulties because of Congress policies’ Congress Government has turned governance into a real estate business, says TDP chief HYDERABAD: The Telugu Desam Party has decided to utilise the services of educated youth in creating awareness among people about ‘rampant corruption’, deteriorating law and order situation and other issues plaguing the State ever since the Congress Government took over. TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu exhorted youth to visit villages during election time to educate people about the ‘omissions and commissions’ of the Congress Government and the need to protect the State. “The previous TDP regime’s vision helped generate wealth for the State. But farmers and other sections of society are facing crisis because of the policies of the Congress Government,” he said, exuding confidence that the party would return to power after the next elections. Mr. Naidu was addressing professionals working in IT and other fields who took out a rally to express their solidarity with the TDP on Sunday. He said it was the TDP’s endeavour that attracted IT majors to set up their ventures here and this, in turn, resulted in creation of huge employment potential. The Congress Government had turned governance into a real estate business and Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy was promoting his businesses. “The Congress Government spent Rs. 10 crore on Tirupati public meeting to celebrate success of DWCRA groups. But the fact remains that the seeds for empowerment of the SHGs were sown by the TDP Government,” he said. ‘Hub of terrorism’Mr. Naidu was critical of the deteriorating law and order situation in the State claiming the city turned into a “hub” of terrorist activities with “Hyderabad links” surfacing in all the blasts taking place across the country.
