Kakinada: District Collector Gopalakrishna Dwivedi on Monday called for speedy disposal of petitions submitted as part of the Grievances’ Day and cautioned the people not to fall prey to middlemen. Those, who cannot personally meet the officials concerned, can use the toll free number 18004252370 to convey their complaints. Mr. Dwivedi was speaking during the Grievances Day wherein himself received 453 petitions pertaining to a variety of community and individual needs. On the occasion, he said people need not come all the way to Kakinada to lodge their complaints or seek favours as steps were taken to redress their grievances to the extent possible at the village and mandal-level. Joint Collector K Sasidhar and District Rural Development Agency project director Ch Kumara Swami also received petitions from public, who turned up in a large number. They urged people to acquaint themselves with the welfare schemes implemented by the Government. Housing district manager G Satyanarayana, District Water Management Agency project director M Jyothi and BC Corporation executive director Manjula participated.
