It is indeed shocking and painful to read about the vandalism of two churches, one of them among the oldest in India, at Akapparambu in Nedumbassery panchayat in Kerala (September 22). I am sure that this will plunge every true Hindu in sorrow. Hope the culprits will soon be identified and punished. R. Krishnan, Malakoff The recent spate of attacks on minority Christian institutions brings to the fore a growing intolerance and hatred towards other faiths. Communal violence is as harmful as terrorism; perhaps even more dangerous because of the backing it gets from certain political parties. Krishna Prasad M.M., Chennai
