Congress exploiting Muslims: TRS

Staff Reporter

Government asked to make a statement on what it had done for them

‘Formation of Telangana alone can solve the problems of minorities’

26 posts vacant in Urdu medium degree colleges, alleges TRS leader K. Taraka Rama Rao

SANGAREDDY: TRS leader K. Taraka Rama Rao here on Monday alleged that the Congress leaders are exploiting Muslims to get MLA seats and berths in the Cabinet, instead of serving them.

Speaking to reporters here, Mr. Rao said that none of the minorities who voted for the Congress are happy with the situation and formation of a separate Telangana state can only solve their problems.

“Whether it is Mohd. Shabbir or Fariduddin - they are using minorities to get positions in power and have done nothing for the community. Why are there no facilities in Urdu medium schools if they are so sincere?” he asked, pointing out that none of 26 posts vacant in Urdu medium degree colleges are filled.

Stating that even the allocation in budget for the minorities has not crossed one per cent of the total allocations, Mr. Rao asked why Muslims are being forced to face to such pathetic conditions if the government claims that it had done much for them is correct. He demanded that the government should make a statement on what it had done to them.
