Sri Lankan boat with crew apprehended

CHENNAI: A Coast Guard ship apprehended a Sri Lankan fishing boat with six crew members on Sunday for fishing in Indian waters. The boat and the crew members were handed over to Kasimedu police station for further action.

The boat was apprehended off the Andhra Pradesh coast about 140 miles from the Chennai port, within the Indian Exclusive Economic Zone.
