11 lakh compensation for Sharma’s family

NEW DELHI: Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit would personally hand over a cheque for Rs.11 lakh to the family of Inspector Mohan Chand Sharma of the Delhi police who was killed in a gun battle with terrorists in South Delhi this week.

The decision to make the ex-gratia payment was taken at a meeting of the Delhi Cabinet on Monday during which tributes were also paid to the valiant police officer.
