National seminar in Periyar tiger reserve
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Forest Minister Binoy Viswom has said that the eco development panels functioning in Periyar Tiger Reserve would be strengthened. He said this while inaugurating a national seminar organised in Periyar as part of the platinum jubilee of the declaration of the region as a protected sanctuary, the Minister’s office said in a press release on Monday. Environmentalists, officials and wildlife experts from all parts of the country are attending the two-day seminar. —Special Correspondent
