Oman allows Indians to return home

DUBAI: In a special gesture, Oman has decided to allow 2,500 Indians, who were stranded there after expiry of visas, to return home without any penalty.

This decision was conveyed by Oman’s Inspector General of Police and Customs Malik bin Suleiman al Maamari to Minister of State for External Affairs E. Ahamed, who is on a visit to the Arab country.

Oman also waived the fine on their overstay.
