Petrol bunk staff robbed

CHENNAI: Two persons were robbed of Rs. 22.31 lakh at Sembarampakkam near here on Monday.
Police said Sebastian and Guru, employees of a petrol bunk, were proceeding to a bank in a jeep when two suspects who came in different motorcycles intercepted them. On the pretext of seeking directions for an address, they threw chilli powder on Sebastian, jeep driver.
Even as the victim was trying to recover, they snatched the cash bag and escaped. The Chennai Suburban Commissioner of Police, S.J. Jangid, has formed a special team to investigate the case.
The Nazarethpet police have registered a case.
