Four held for committing burglaries

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: Four persons were arrested for allegedly committing a series of robberies and house burglaries in the city and suburbs.

Gold jewellery, five motorcycles, a country made pistol and other valuables were also recovered from them. The arrested persons have been identified as Ch. Pradeep Kumar, a resident of Kompally, E. Rajender of Kothapet, Syed Saddiq and Sharif Bin Awad, both residents of Rajendranagar.

While Kumar and Rajender were involved in 11 house burglaries reported at Karkhana, Saroornagar and L. B. Nagar, Saddiq and Awad were involved in a chain snatching case reported at Bhavani Colony in Rajendranagar, Cyberabad DCP B. Srinivasulu told reporters here on Monday.

He said Kumar was committing offences since 2000. After being released from jail, he went to Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh and purchased a country made pistol.
